I just tested it, "SCREEN 1:COLOR 15,4,7" gives the same result whether the carnivore is inserted or not. Setting width to 32 causes the text to go off to the left both with and without the cartridge in.
So the behavior is different only for Screen 0, where width should be 37, but the C2 sets it to 40.
Alright, so the adjustment problem is not a Carnivore2 issue, it’s an issue with either your monitor or your MSX.
What you see in screen 1 is the full resolution of the MSX. So if you play games, or anything really, the left part of the screen will be cut off. BASIC is pretty much the only thing which does not use the full width of the screen by default. Adjusting the Carnivore2 firmware to restore the default screen mode & width is nice, however it does not fix your underlying issue.
Alright, please check with your 75P when you're able to, so we can determine if this is something specific to the computer or a misaligned monitor. The HB75 series is kind of unique from the whole MSX range as it's the only one that uses no MSX-Engine or GALs and has a rather low level of integration. I wouldn't be surprised if this is just the way they work from the factory.
I had a Gradiente Expert 1.1 and that also didn't use any MSX Engine nor GALs. It was set by default to boot in SCREEN 0 width WIDTH 39, just like its competitor Sharp Hotbit, which didn't had an MSX Engine as well. They both usually looked fine in Brazilian TVs, which at the time used the PAL-M system (60Hz PAL). Gradiente sold a monochrome composite video monitor which had a switch to make the entire picture a bit smaller, so you could see every pixel in every mode.
As Grauw explained, it's fairly normal for any MSX to have their outermost horizontal pixels invisible in most, if not all, TV sets. It's unavoidable due to the VDP pixel timings.

I personally didn't install SymbOS on Carnivore2. The cartridge uses the standard Sunrise-compatible driver and BIOS, so I think it will work. Did anyone try to install SymbOS on Carnivore's media?
Alexey this is the point, someone experimented that it doesn't work wit Carnivore + Sunrise driver.
Did this "someone" use the latest 0.1.7 IDE driver and Nextor 2.1.0 Beta 2? I haven't seen any topic with the SymbOS compatibility test. Could you please point me to it?
