Just got back from a trip to Japan. Of course we went to see some (retro) stores in Tokyo to see what MSX stuff was still for sale. The BEEP shop was my favourite, in a basement full of old nice stuff Smile with a few nice MSX items.

A few pics:

I really wanted to buy a game but the prices were all a bit too high (and I already bought a few through buyee lately).

What is that "Retro freak Gear Converter" thing ? Question
I think that device is not made for MSX, but for the "retrofreak" console itself.
... or maybe there is something lese between MSX slot and that converter... Question

It's an adapter to use SEGA 8 bit carts (Mycard/GG/SG1000/SMS/MKIII) on a Megadrive or Retrofreak.
In between that and the MSX there seems to be this thing.

Oh, I'm sure you had a blast there! I visited Akihabara last year, and it was amazing! (but I could not resist buying some games hahaha, even if at that point I still didn't have any working MSX at home Wink ). The ones that were boxed were very expensive (I found a copy of Space Manbow for about $200!!), but I found many loose cartridges that were a bargain! I hope to be able to visit again one day!! Both to go back to these MSX shops, and to visit Japan again, amazing country!
