I've recently bought myself a Zemmix-Neo and I've got it all set up and running. But I've run into one small issue: I can only use one of the fire buttons of my Arcade Turbo joystick. And I don't want to be hitting the M key all the time while playing Nemesis 2. Is there a way to get this 2nd button to work? Am I mssing something obvious?

The only obvious thing I can think of is the switch on the back of the joystick...

Well, I did try that and yes.. That makes me able to change from the fire button on the bottom to the fire button on top. But on a real MSX you can use both buttons simultaniously. The switch on the bottom will just switch the function of the two.

That means the Joystick was not meant for MSX, but for Atari/Commodore which only support a single fire button.

You could open up the joystick and possibly rewire it such that the two fire buttons operate independently, but the cable may not have the wire for pin 7, in which case you need to replace the cable.

Weird. I've always owned this type of joystick with my MSX and always used both fire buttons. I'll get my multimeter this afternoon to check if both of the buttons are wired.

OK, opening the unit up indeed solved the issue: There is a DIP switch inside to make the joystick switch between 1 button & 2 button use. TFH is happy Smile

Thanks for the help!

I sold my TurboR many moons ago, I was given a faulty MSX2 (joystick controller fault), bought a MegaFashSCC+, the keyboard is suffering, but i miss the MSX games and fun, emulators are just not the same
