Hi.
I'm a bit confused about the different Sorcerian expansion packs listed on Gen. MSX. Maybe some collector or Sorcerian fan can enlighten me a bit about their differences Smile

According to Wikipedia there are three volymes off scenario expansions:
Sorcerian Additional Scenario Vol. 1,
Sorcerian Additional Scenario Vol. 2 – Sengoku Sorcerian,
and
Sorcerian Additional Scenario Vol. 3 – Pyramid Sorcerian

On MSX Gen. I can find vol.3 listed:
https://www.generation-msx.nl/software/falcom/sorcerian-addi...
...But when looking at vol. 2 there only seem to be som sort of double pack listed with both Sengoku and Pyramid:
https://www.generation-msx.nl/software/falcom/sorcerian-addi...

This is very confusing since the combo pack seems to be on 3 disks and vol.3 which only seems to contain Pyramid scenario, is also listed on 3 disks. So how can the whole of Pyramid scenario as well as Sengoku fit into 3 disks on vol. 2?
...And was there ever a stand alone release on MSX2 for Sorcerian Sengoku scenario?

And what about Vol 1? Was this a PC-88 release only?

Found the answer to tha last question. On Gen. MSX there's a note saying:
"Scenario disk 1 has never been ported to MSX."

I have no clue at all. But the one thing that came to my mind is, might it be that vol3 was released on single sided disks and the combo on double sided disks?

Interesting theory. I don't ownthe originals, but when I look at the dsk-files in Toesec they all show 720kb, though the Sorceian Sengoku dsk-files might off course be from the stand alone release of Sengoku, is such an release exists, I have yet to see it.

I found an old auction of the Combo release for Sengoku and Pyramid, and it clearly shows 6 disks. So there must have been some misstake made on MSX Generations, listing the release with 3 disks and only showing 3 of them in the pictures:

The question still remains though, was there ever any stand alone release for Sengoku scenarion on the MSX2?

List of MSX games in this list, 1991 and 1992 have entries for sorcerian games. Packaged games and Takeru versions. There is a Sengoku Sorcerian.

I updated Generation-MSX, the images/releases where not correct. As far as I know these releases exist:

- Sorcerian (Standalone and Takeru on 5 disks)
- Sorcerian Additional Scenario Vol. 2 – Sengoku Sorcerian (Takeru on 3 disks)
- Sorcerian Additional Scenario Vol. 3 – Pyramid Sorcerian (Standalone and Takeru on 3 disks)
- Sorcerian Additional Scenario - Sengoku / Pyramid Sorcerian (Standalone on 6 disks)
