This continues the repair from a few weeks ago with that SVI 328 that had so many issues. Here I replace the VRAM and manage to get things working but... then disaster strikes :-(

Oooh so close, it was working for a second there! Also good tip on using 4164’s to replace the 4116’s, I’ll remember that Smile. Looking forward to the conclusion!

Nice video! I would not mind having an SVI for my collection Smile
Luckily I have never had to work with those old RAM chips which need -5, +5 and +12V!

I have the custom test ROM for the SVI-318/328, but you will need the special cartridge board to run it:

Please contact me if you are interested.

You were lucky enough never to have to deal with a classic ZX Spectrum then :-) Jokes aside, yeah, they're a total pain.

Thanks! That could come in handy. I'll let you know whenever I can use it. Any idea where I could get those of those custom cartridges? They look really useful.

The Gerber files are available and I can share them with you. You can then order 5 or more boards from China. The cartridge needs a very common EPROM chip and a few cheap parts.
