I think I need some help with YS2. I've collected the Holy Cup from the Temple of Dabby and went back to the last village where an old man filled that cup with water for me to drink and then said it turned me back from the monster I was into human form. However, when exiting his house I still look like a monster (I don't have the telepathy staff selected) and the wandering villagers appear to still perceive me as such. Still, when I go back into the house, the old man tells me not to thank him, as if it worked.
I tried getting more items from the temples first, but every door stays locked with a notice "An Inverted Ys Crest". I do have the pass.
I'm playing the translation by Melancholia (except for the part with the caves, because the translation doesn't show it) but both that version and the Japanese version show this behavior. Can someone tell me if I'm missing something?
