it doesn't really show warning messages. It just doesn't do anything. Except maybe FDD lights a moment. In my laptop openmsx loads same files automatically when i mount .dsk.

If i type FILES in sedai Openmsx i get list files some times. usually i get message disk I/O error or illegal function call(this usually after reset)

Since i tried Chmod 666 command to couple of dsk files i have managed to load disk two...three times. I have not been able to replicate it. It seems to happen when choose new machine. Example if I select Panasonic FS-A1F first time i can load one disk one time. Second time i get errors. But not all machines work like this.

Is there ready image or good tutorial for latest openmsx version in raspberry pi witch can be easily set so that it boots directly to emulator?

Which disk image are you trying?

I downloaded TOSEC and Systemroms from download.file-hunter.com

Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1987)(US Gold).dsk
Shark Hunter (1984)(Electric Software).dsk
Goody (1987)(Opera Soft)(es).dsk

Disk I/O error means something is wrong with the disk image.
Illegal function call, on which command did you get that? It usually means something is wrong with a BASIC command you input or you run in a basic program.
Maybe you can show in a video what exactly you are doing and what is happening. I'm sure we can help you then.

After switching to a different machine where you get it to work, try setting that machine as default machine?

Step 1: click on the on screen Menu button

Step 2: select the Hardware menu

Step 3: click on the Set Current Machine as Default option

I have the feeling it's not working anymore for you after an initial switch because it resets back to a machine that doesn't have a disk drive?

But yeah, a video showing what happens could make it a lot easier to identify what going wrong. Smile
Even just a quick video recorded with a mobile phone would likely help.

Probably to upload it to YouTube, Vimeo, DailyMotion, or the likes. :)

Experienced another strange behaviour in OpenMSX/Sedai

When i try to insert a dsk file (stored in the USB Stick /media/usb0) , OpenMSX does not allow me to enter the directory, but mounts directly usb0... Question

When i load a rom file, no problem, i'm able to navigate through the usb0..
