Well, I'm sure that File-Hunter would be more than happy to host any msxdev game updates. Even after years from the release. I kept sending Freedom Fighter updates, and finally the complete game (after I declared it as freeware).
So if some of the aithors of old msxdev games have updates... they know... who you gonna call?
Here, playing v1.2, in the help sections, after a bit of scrolling through texts, the musicreplayer bugs and the music scrambles.... In the game itself, there is no problem.
With previous versions, I had similar issues, but everywhere: intro, game, help. Now, with v1.2, only issues in the help sections.
Am I the only one?
Interestingly, to make the game run anyway, I need to disconnect everything I have connected to slot 2 of my turboR. I have expanded slot 2 with an 8 slot expander. In this expander there is 4mb memorymapper, musicmodule, opl4, v9990, badcat wifi, neotron, opm and se-one mp3.
Thank you for the feedback! This is very interesting. I wish I had the same hardware, so I could have fixed it (especially the music). In the latest version some data has been moved around, but not in the segments where the music resides. I think they are identical.
Would be great if I could see a video of what happens.
Reservation-campaign for the physical version is ending soon, and things are then supposed to go to print :O It would be good to know how many experience this, and it would be great to get it fixed ASAP too.
...of my turboR
Which model do you have? Maybe I can emulate it in openmsx? (no luck so far though - all machines work it seems)
Did you also put all these extensions in? As far as they're emulated...

Really? Awesome. No I just tested probably all msx2s, not the extensions. I know there is a 4x slotexpander, but not sure how I configure it. not sure how to get 8 (And I would assume 4 subslots was max per slot)?
I know exta and extb is slot 1 and 2, but how to get -ext into those 8 subslots? and what is the openmsx name for all those neotron, badcat and se-one?
Use the osd menu to easily put stuff in slots. These 3 you mentioned are not emulated.
Latok, can you please try which of the things in your slot 2 cause that bad behaviour? So can you try to remove a single thing at a time and test all of them?
Please read my post again. With my 8 slot expander connected to slot 2, the game doesnt boot at all.
So, to boot the game, I always disconnect everything that is in slot 2.
I flash the game in my MFR SCC+ SD which is in slot 1.
Then, the game is perfectly playable. I just reported that in the help sections the music gets scrambled after a while...
I have a turboR GT with 1mb internal ram.
Of course, it is also interesting to find out why the game doesnt boot with my 8slot expander connected to slot 2. I will do some tests later.
Here is a video with the scrambled music after scrolling through help sections:
And no music in the slot select menu?
I have never heard music in the slot select menu, no...
