There are a lot of available vst-i's around emulating old console soundchips,
such as triforce and syntendo (NES), VOPC (megadrive), Quadrasid (c64) and
more stuff like that.
Since these emulated soundchips are useable in a whole variety of music programs,
from acid to renoise, would it be useful to have an FM-PAC or music module in
vst-i form ?

To get that certain, "feel", why not?

does that include all the exact presets ?
sure it can be made with fm8... but that's not the point.
the fact that it CAN be done doesn't mean people will understand
how to make the exact sounds used in the FM PAC.

Hm... would it be possible (or even useful?) to use openMSX or blueMSX as VSTi? Running Naked in a Field of Flowers

well, I mean it is emulated in bluemsx, openmsx etc anyway...
so I dunno how hard it is to implement that into a vst-i that one
could use in protools or acid or.... etc....
