Threshold stands for the amount of volume required to start recording.

Lower = less volume needed to trigger the mic.

IS there some app written where you can trigger the music module
with a pc running midi ? say.. cough... ableton live for instance
You mean, using the MSX/MusMod as a MIDI-controlled synth? Hm, I recall having seen a program like that ages ago on some MSX fair, but I really can't remember the name of the program or even the group who sold it. Might have been FAC or FCS, since they were pretty MIDI oriented at the time...

and thanks for the tips again !

when sampling what is the best input to use ? mike or line in ?
samples tend to be a bit on the low volume side, compared to the FM stuff.
which isn't that werid considering the amount of channels compared to the 1 sample channel

I'm no expert, but I think line-in gives you a better signal to noise ratio than mic...

Channel Pressure was a program made by the Bytewizards that acted as a midi controlled synth. TBW wrote also the MIDI part of FAC Soundtracker Pro. FCS made C-qensr, which was able to record and play MIDI files.

Yes, it seems so! I've been having trouble with this as well...

Here is anyway my first try with CONVERTED samples Big smile (proof of consept)

msx.fi/temp/sadeness.zip (60HZ!!!)

This is rearrangement of arrangement. I'm sorry, but I forgot who did the MSX-version originally. Original version is by Enigma
