I found a 78L12 at Digikey, is this the correct one? I want to make sure before I place an order.

The one you linked is rated for just 100mA, to be sure compare it against the ratings of the part that your are going to replace.

I'm thinking this might be the MC78L12ACP

Yeah, it's probably the 78L12ACP (Datasheet : here ).
So it's a 100mA part and the replacement you found on digikey should be OK.

Yes! It works! Smile I replaced the broken 78L12 and now +12v is restored. I'm getting msx-music from the FM-Pac. Yay! Smile

I am glad it was something simple as replacing the power converter.
Had a simular thing with my 3rd slot I created in 8250. Forgot to add the 12V and got no sounds but the rom worked fine. So that is why I pointed you in that direction.
