Ohh by the way we should have known.
The spanish version says: " Basado en el videojuego: [RUSTY]"
and additionally
"ambientado en la gran obra
[Ultimate teacher]"
It lists for all tracks were they came from. So we could have known how (un) orriginal it was.
IIRC there's a song from Hans Cnossen (Kid Knoz) on it too (of which he weren't aware at the time) and a cover from Tower of Gazzel ('puzzle' theme) which I think was done by Jorrith Schaap (Jorito).
SCC-Muzix #1 tunes from Cnossen were also used for the earlier Kai Magazine game "Lilo".
Again, if my memory doesn't fail, it should be noted that Kai, the creator of the games, has stated that he couldn't find composer's contact info in order to request permission to use them.
So, not really "going over peoples heads" here.
Yes Kai couldn't find composers contact info.
By the way Demonseed. Did you check your e-mail ?
@ robertwilting
No, but going to right now. Thanks.
@ Latok
I don't know... do you?
I remember I reviewed No Name for MCCM. Does that mean I still have a copy lying around here somewhere?
Oh, the Gazzel cover is not from Jorito but from our other MRC friend Bart Roymans! Scusi.
BTW, one song is stated to be the stage 1 music from Ninja Gaiden.
Well, I suppose this can't be right. Which one?
It's not from any Ninja Gaiden on the NES, neither is it from the Arcade Version.
I have all KAI's games on dsk.
Probably Spanish versions I assume.
Probably Spanish versions I assume.
I really don't remember...
Hm, yesterday I scanned all my disks, but no No name :/
