Hi

Can a normal FMPAC be converted to a stereo FM pac.
If so how?

you have to understand that the term "stereo" is a bit of loose one here...
the "stereo" can be achieved by splitting the FM and PSG sounds...

How? uhm, I know how but can't explain without specs. Maybe Hans van Oranje might fill you in on that?!

My MSX2+ has this modification:
FM channels left, and FM drums plus PSG right (or vice versa Tongue)

uhm .. 'stereo' ? or do you mean a line-out connector with the same signal coming at the left and the right?

Seriously... 2 MSX veterans and neither of you have heard about stereo FM-PACs?! ^^;

Not at all.. FM Stereo PAK was widely produced (by MSX Club Gouda IIRC), as importing a true FM-PAC was very costly. FM-PACs were going for crazy prices back then. Similar to the days of MSX-AUDIO for NLG250.

Is the fm-pac / fm stereo pac schematics available anywhere?

Do not know how it sounds. I was just curious. Would still like to see the schematics for both.
