Well, guys, the short playable demo.
Game (DOS2 only) 512KB or more & v9958
Instructions:
* Pump the left/right direction one time to run, otherwise it wil walk.
* Use SHIFT to speed up the game and save long waits.
* Use down direction to knock room doors.
* Use the STOP key to check your inventory/status.
* Beware of the lifters if it is going down and the player box is pixel misaligned next to it, it will result in an instant gameover include if graphically it is safe. Because I didn't drew a squared FAT naked player.
Remember that sound is far to be done.
Looking for feedback! Enjoy it!
Ofcourse I can't get it to work...
I hate DOS2 so much...
why?
DOS2 for me has always been the equivalent of problems. Things not working, having to do all kinds of weird tricks to get something to work. Almost never happens. Maybe I'm too dumb for DOS2. That might be the case.
But I think I'm derailing this thread with my complaints. I'll try some more things to get it to work, because I really want to see what you have made so far.

you are testing in your real msx? and it has atleast 512KB RAM? + v9958, right?
Testing on openMSX, emulating FS-A1-GT with 4 MB RAM, ide, MegaFlashROM SCC+ and slotexpander.
I put the files from your .rar on an empty DOS2 formatted disk image.
And when i try to run SUPER.COM it says
*** Wrong version of MSX-DOS
while I'm absolutely in DOS2.

Try the EXPERT=ON thing.
Try the EXPERT=ON thing.

Try the EXPERT=ON thing, I am not sure what it does but in a similar situation it worked for me.
I thinks if you set the files in a .DSK with DOS1 BOOT SECTOR, I thinks the msx is emulating DOS1.
But I used the DirAsDisk feature and it works fine.
maybe it is SET EXPERT=ON, don't remember exactly.
