Yes, my nms8245 2+ can not wait for the next release with full installer and a big package to come.
The BBS is looking SO good in SymbOS!! I know it's technically quite challenging for the V9938, but any chance of some ANSI color support, at least full-screen wise?
4 simultaneous connections on MSX sounds so ridiculously cool, that I could newer ever think that that "just 4" on MSX would be a realistic limiting expectation. At the moment I just can't help my self thinking... "Yeah, but let's give him some time... Prodatron can always do it better!"
That is not based on any commonly known reality anymore, but I know this guy... When ever you think that all limits have been examined, reached & exploited... he will do it better... I don't know... maybe just to make us feel stupid one more time?
No, I really don't know anymore... Should we all give him some money? You know... This is much better than what Microsoft did to get famous. I'm clueless.
I think: 4 connections is enough for everyone!
Using the hardware TCP/IP implementation of DenYoNet it's the maximum, and TBH when opening 4x SymShell and then 4x SymTel you already have the feeling that it's enough for your MSX
(even in SymbOS)
Today EdoZ asked me, why not implementing a nice little command line tool, and so I couldn't resist and programmed NETSTAT
You can see it in the lower left shell window. I have been connected with the HispaMSX-BBS, ASCII-Star Wars (towel.blinkenlights.nl) and Telehack.com. The network daemon provides a function to send the status of all available sockets, and so netstat is using this to display it in exactly the same way like you have it with the Windows netstat.
Uuh, so nice...
BTW Did you manage to solve the ASCII-Star Wars hang problem already?
It's still the same, not as bad as it was before, but sometimes it loads quite fast, and sometimes it's hanging. I still have the feeling, that the remote server doesn't like the low speed of the client or has problems with the low packet size, and so it sometimes just waits a "little" bit before sending new data packets again. Anyway this time I managed to reach the scene, where R2D2 escaped with C-3PO with the rescue capsule
Prodatron: sounds a bit like the nagle algorithm...
Prodatron: sounds a bit like the nagle algorithm...
Hmm.. Indeed. I wonder if the denyonet has a buildin TCP NO DELAY function.
BDW prodatron your screenshot rocks!! I think I have to suggest some more features in future ;-)
Would be cool to have some network game soon
Is someone able to tell me where I can get SymStudio? The link to its website is down ._.'
