AC-DC power adapter output: DC 10V, 800mA (Center negative). You can use instead an AC-DC power adapter of 9V, 1A.

It is supposed to be the same as Famicom, SNES ones.
But please check before using them.

If the connector is same, the SNES adapter is usable. The polatity is same. Indicated voltage is a bit low but given that the power supply is not stabilized nor regulated, this is compensated by the supperior power.

6502man, an user from msxvillage already use an adapter 9V, 1A:

Summoning this thread from the grave!

Super Famicom/Mega Drive 1/2's power adapters works fine with Casio PV-7. I hope this information can help anyone with a Casio PV-7/16 with broken power adapter (or without it)

Beware with the American SNES which doesn't have the same connector of Super Famicom.

This is the kind of necro I don't mind seeing. :-) What are the experiences with this kind of power supply? If it's totally safe and a viable alternative, this might be some info worth adding to the wiki?

Power adapters for Mega Drive 2 and 3 (MK-1636-05 and MK-1479) are not usable!

Ouch!

Sorry, the Brazilian Mega Drive I and II are almost identical machines and both uses the same power supply specs. Didn't know the model numbering was different in Brazil.

Power Supply of Mega Drive 1 is compatible with Casio PV-7.

Before buy, check the negative is at center.

Well, my old power adapter start to behave weirdly and since then I switched to a Mega Drive's power adapter. It's powering the PV-7, MegaflashROM SCC+SD 512KB and one joystick. Until now, no sparks, no fumes, only good playing s

I used a Famicom PSU on Casio machines without problems. 9V or 10V both work as long as the polarity is correct and the plug has the correct dimensions.

I updated the wiki pages with more details. I have a doubt about the SNES because I found conflicting information. Maybe it depends on the countries.
