*I searched the forums for several days for an answer to this topic but couldn't find anything satisfactory*
First of all greetings! I acquired my Sony MSX2+ around five years ago w/ a MFR and have enjoyed it greatly. I'm not hugely technically gifted so booting anything other than cart-based ROMS and single-disk files causes me troubles. I know that DSK files need to be renamed to FD1, FD2, etc. is basically what's required to get the process rolling for multi-disk games, but how/where do I edit them? I tried on my PC but I can't change extensions to "FDx", and the (E)dit function within the ROM browser on the MSX itself yielded no results. So my question is how do I get say, "Aleste2.DSK" changed to, "Aleste2.FD1"?
My MSX is going to be in a museum at an upcoming convention next month with Aleste 2 on-hand to play by attendees. We ran Space Manbow and Goonies in previous years and as those were cart-based games it wasn't an issue using the MegaFlashROM. But this year I'm in a crunch to get this figured out. Any help please?
Thank you! I really like your community here.
