I'm purchasing a MSX2+ with an original Japanese plug. The seller tells me I need a step down converter to use it in the Netherlands. Can someone recommend one to me?
This one was recommended by one of our forum's harware guys.
I have this one and it works great.
Stay away from the 110V bricks that cost about € 10,- because they frequently do this
The MW2P300 seems unavailable and Amazon.co.jp doesn't send the The UT – 130E to the Netherlands. The Rakuten shop is in Japanese and according to Google translate I need to fill it in in dubbelbyte katakana.
Is there anyone in NL knows how to fill out this form and who is willing to buy one for me and send me a Tikkie/payment request? I'll pay immediately.
Yeah unfortunately Rakuten’s global site shut down. You can still buy these internationally but you have to browse the site in Japanese. Alternatively you can use a proxy service like Buyee or FromJapan. Also worth taking a look at that amazon.co.jp link sdsnatcher73 posted in the other thread, the site seems to be in English and ships to the Netherlands.
I didn't knew about UT-130, it seems to be a well designed device.
I already bought two different down converters, the beefier is a mercury UK2US100VA, and I still have the same problems with +12V/-12V that do not drive sound cartridges like SFG-05 or Panamusement FM-PAC on my Panasonic FS-A1FX MSX2+ slots, so UT-130 goes on my buy-list.
The lead has a European power plug (Type C male), the adapter itself has a Japanese power plug socket (Type A female) that your Japanese MSX should plug right in to.
