You can put a 100nF ceramic capacitor on top of the resistor that is connected to the CSYNC output of the VDP. That's how we resolved the problems on YIS503 and YIS805 after upgrading them to MSX2+.

Do you mean to put in parallel of the resistor R40 as seen on the schematic ?
