Hello folks!

This is my first ever made software for MSX.
I'm not strong z80 coder and I've first touched MSX just recently.

This is very first version of my gopher browser for MSX2.
You can grab it here: https://github.com/nihirash/moon-rabbit/releases
Please respect my license - it's important for me: https://github.com/nihirash/moon-rabbit/blob/main/LICENSE

Sources are there too.

It can browse gopher spaces, show plain text, play PT3 track from sites and download files.

I have only obsonet 2(by Caro) card and browser works on it.
Please test it on other devices(it should work on any unapi tcp/ip compatible device).

Tried it on my setup (Turbo-R with a GR8NET) and works well Cool

Hi Alexander!

Glad to see more developments geared towards TCP-IP Unapi. Smile

I have developed a MSX2 (MSX1 compatible, but ANSI colors only on MSX2 or better) Telnet Client and made some tweaks on other TCP-IP Unapi applications, and this is one of my favorite hobbies, TCP IP on MSX Smile I should be able to test your gopher browser on RAM and ROM Unapi as I have made both RAM and ROM drivers for SM-X WiFi, if it works on both and already works on Obsonet, it is very likely to work on GR8NET and Denyonet as well.

It would be quite cool if you consider publishing Moon Rabbit on MSXHUB:

That's great!

God save the Konamiman! Unapi is great thing!

I've bought MSX for it. That's true.

I wish it will work fine. SM-X should have great network speed also.

I'd like do it.
I think I'll make it soon.

Worked quite fast both on MSX2 or Turbo - R of BlueMSX (I have a version of it that emulates SM-X Wifi bridging a ESP8266 through USB/Serial), both on ROM UNAPI as well as RAM UNAPI, great job! Cool

By the way, when you exit the program, it is going back do mode 40 or mode 32 instead of returning to the mode 80 I was in, minor nitpick Wink

By the way, send me an e-mail, ducasp at gmail dot com , I can send you the Bluemsx version I use and instructions so you can use it as well with an ESP8266 and a serial usb 3v3 adapter and updating the ESP firmware with a custom firmware (since you work with zx next stuff, I'm guessing you have those bits as well as a way to program ESP's), it is not only faster than Obsonet (and closer to the real performance of SM-X Wifi) as well as close to what you can expect from a GR8NET in UNAPI interfaces, and it is a dream to be able to debug UNAPI applications through BlueMSX :) (but, on the other hand, you will need Windows, and if using 7 or 10, Admin rights, as Blue MSX is old stuff that is not adapted to the new systems)

I'd like ask you to open your firmware - cause I've begun similar work(for making opensource unapi wifi solution). If you'll open - I'll prepare build and driver for badcat wifi(whom is open-source hardware and everyone can build it for himself/herself/my english is too poor for writing other options).

If not - I'll continue development of my version of similar thing(you can see current state here https://github.com/nihirash/esp-binary-firmware).

As macOS(arm mac) user I think I'll get some issues with uart passthrough. So, I'm grateful for the offer, but I'm afraid it won't help me. Mac users should suffer.

I believe that time for closed development for oldy computers(like MSX) is gone, I'll be glad if my work will help someone save a bit time.

I respect your right to keep solution closed but if it's possible - please open it. :)

P.S. I'm not pressuring at all(if it looks like this - it's my english level LOL! )
