* Opens music player and plays "Philip Oakey & Giorgio Moroder - Together In Electric Dreams" for Yukio *
Hey, great piece of music!, the steady rythm basis of Hallogallo remembers me a lot another early track from Kraftwerk, "Ruckzuck"
I don't think Yukio's suggestion is that unrealistic. If you just use 232 (!) semi transparent well detuned V9958 you'll get an interlaced 4096*3072 picture. Not that far fetched
/me stares at his Graphics9000.
(Ok, that's not 4096x3072)
[edit: but I don't see the point in trying to create such a resolution. Even my PC can't handle that and if it could, I wouldn't have a monitor that is able to display the image.]
Hmm... no, I don't want to see this on MSX.
Just imagine the time it consumes to design one super-highres 'tile' representing a classic 8x8 tile. Games would take ages to make.
Games would take ages to make.Heh, they already do with the current MSX2 specs
"256*192 should be enough for everyone"
I'm more of a 320x240 person
. But since MSX doesn't have that, I'll settle for 256x192.....
Image viewer for 4096x3072 on MSX ? How fast should be Z80 to copy such an image from disk to video memory in a reasonable time ? Yukio, if you intend to use additional hardware, or something like that, share your plans with us !
I for one am particularly interested in the holographic devices for MSX.
