I think Donkey Kong Country is a great example of Fake 3D and could perhaps be doable on MSX. With GFX9000 it certainly can but maybe even on a standard TR.
DKC has cool looks (I think the fake-3d appearance makes it look harder to achieve than it actually is), but they were even able to port it to Gameboy, so an MSX2 version should be possible.
A game that is not at all original won't maybe score as high among the judges, but a low scoring game is much better than no game at all !
Amen!

I think the hardest part on MSX2 would be the parallax, but maybe thats not as hard as I think. Otoh, the parallax effect is not the most important part of the game so it could probably be removed.

Hardest? almost impossible... !
And, I also agree with pitpan at this point: focus on one project. I really would like to see your Knightmare III finished, as well as to see the ".EXE" of the tools you have developed.
No worries...Knightmare 3 is our top priority.....we'll soon release some ingame screenshots
the Hitman game is just an idea we're playing with...because of the newly acquired Turbo-R
and "Fake" 3d is indeed precalculated gfx...but the action will be vector-matrix-math..I've done this before on the GBA...
as for the tools...they will be released....I might ask for a small fee for the effort I put in....but they will be released...they're having a testrun right now...If I can succesfully develop a game with them then they will have proven their worth for real....
