Boys & galz,
As I mentioned several times before both on IRC and MRC we are having a sudden gust of increased workrate, which basically means that after being slow for three years, work for our second, long-announced, album is going real fast!
I am happy to report that the CD *will* appear this year, although I am not foolishly enough to mention a date. The second thing that is certain is that the album will contain *24* arranged songs, which is 7 more than Arranger Gold. We haven't decided yet whether we will also include a datatrack with a PC version of the Arranger replayer, that will depend on both motivation as CD space left.
For those of you who never had the honour to see/hear the previous album, and thus have no clue what I am talking about: Arranger was the name of some music disks we made for MSX, containing only arranged versions of well known gamemusic, and later also some dancemusic. Arranger Gold was an Audio-CD released in 1999 that contained 17 audio-tracks of arranged MSX gamemusic, conceived with profesional studio equipment like synthesizers and guitars.
Let's see...who worked on the new album:
- Low Profile aka Bart Roymans; member of the Arranger Team since the start
- Zodiac c.a. aka Ruud v/d Moosdijk (it's me!); founding member
- Jorito aka Jorrith Schaap; debuts in the Arranger-series with a decent 4-song contribution (which is 3 more than MOA made for the last album, the lazy bum!
)
And what is exactly on it? The complete tracklist will be posted sometime soon, but not quite yet. I can say that as usual Konami songs are the majority but other renowned companies like Falcom and Micro Cabin are also represented. Games include Space Manbow (for Wammes!), Undeadline, Xak, Xak 3, SD-Snatcher, Sa-Zi-Ri and Aleste.
Nice, nice...so what else?
Well basically when you finish something the first thing you hear is "will there be more?", and though it's tempting to say DOH! Of course!...uhm, it did take us 3.5 years to create this CD
So yes there are plans and ideas but nothing official. For example I am considering making an MSX Piano Collection with MOA, and we're considering making a new solely Konami-SCC arrangement CD. But it's too early to really go there
