Hi guys,
I have JU-253 (Matsushita/Panasonic). Connect it to internal floppy bus. Connect power. On power-on sequence floppy is being polled (motor starts), but machine does not boot. When machine goes BASIC, "files" displays contents correctly. If connecting external FD-051 machine boots ok. What is a problem with internal drive/bus/config? Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!
E.

It may be ID jumper should be set on the drive.
Try to ask in this thread too.

These are actually not resistors, they are bridges. R66 - present, R65 - absent, R67 - present. Is it what you are talking about?

As long as file i/o commands from basic work, floppy is ok. Does your computer have 64K RAM? Does your floppy disk have MSX-DOS MBR? IBM PC MS-DOS MBR doesn't work on MSX.

With external disk drive plugged into expansion slot machine boots ok, so floppy disk is ok.

I will, but it will not help. FDD does not even start accessing disk. When it does, you usually hear specific sound of moving heads, and if it can read but with errors, it may say "boot error" or something likie this.
In my case machine does not even try booting from internal drive. Why?
