Hello everybody,
Here are some pictures of Ray2day's new pride.
He does't have to open up his turbo-r i already have

By the way, the memery expension of Ray2day's GT works perfectly with the program from Digital KC memory tester.
Nice, but I don't recommend to let the wires that tense, it can act like a radio antenna, inducing EMF and hanging MSX.
I modded thousands PS2 before, this is why I know that problem.
The pdf diagram mention a 74LS00, while on photos above it uses a 74LS30 (same on ST version).
74LS00: QUAD 2-INPUT NAND GATE
74LS30: 8 INPUT NAND GATE
If you use a 74LS30, then pins 1 & 2 remains the same (pdf diagram), but pin 3 (on 74LS00) should now be pin 8 (on 74LS30).
Did you put a 2nd floppy disk port on this one too?
Guess there is no more questions, except this one:

Do I need to do those jumpers if I'm planning to do this (as the photo below) ?

Looks like the jumpers would be different (if any).
I guess there is no need, but I would like to confirm.
Thanks.
the wire inside board in IMG_6712 are for replace the original wire breaking when desold ( is not easy don't for novice )
the jumper between R372 R373 is for inverter RAS2 RAS3 signal because memory are in two socket place ..
check schematic of GT please .. and my GT work fine since 1994 ..
.
just use MAPPER.COM for dos1 mapping program ..
trying mapit rMSX EP and a lot of MSX1.
use Sram 1204 ASCII and Sram 512 SCC .
i have a slot expander 8 sunrise with a moonsound a video 9000 and is not collector i use it realy
About IMG_6712 that soldering stuff is piece of cake to me (or child's play, not the movie lol!).
I see... I can even see the resistors on photo above.
It seems he (I have no idea whom) took R372 out, and soldered R373 to R372 (making a jumper between two).
I'm not doubting it works (I never said that), I just want to sort out my questions.
My last question still not answered was "Is this mod really worth" ?
Since it only seems useful under DOS2 and SymbOS, other besides MSX logo showing "1024kb" at boot (I'm a practical guy).

I only took the Pictures while i was adding a PC floppy drive to replace the original drive that was broken.
The memory expansion was already there
Gradius2 : have you the schematic of Turbo-R GT and can you read it ?
on page 1/3 ( right / down ) of main board you have the memory
on bank of memory use RAS2 R372 and the other RAS3 R373
when i sold the memory ( recyled on old PC Simm ) the GT dont work because is not the good RAS
i cross signal with the 100 resistor
with 1Mo you use Multi-Mente more fast in copy , you can make a ramdisk , you can use crack of megarom
but with other software 512k is ok
and please : don't break your MSX if you don't can repare it
and sorry for my english ;-)
I see now why that resistor was crossed.
Well, it seems 1Mb is pretty useless on nowdays thanks to MMC/SD option.
Is pretty hard to break a MSX, I need to be drunk or very unlucky in order to do that.

I see.
