you know, when you hang signs up in public, you're allowed to take them down?
Real forums have a "delete" button for your posts.
and real forums delete the stuff when you ask, because they're not like OMG ARCHIVAL . and the administration doesn't have its head jammed so far up its own ass that its lost sight of the actual point.
This forum is the last thing I'd be worried about having archived as far as MSX related things go. Quit being high and mighty polesmokers and get with the times. People delete shit off forums if they feel like it.
If you want to archive something, archive some books, magazines, interviews or games. This forum doesn't matter, and won't matter ever probably. It's a forum. It's the equivalent of all of us meeting in a giant room and taking turns talking to each other, often making little sense or saying anything useful.
If that were the case, would the whole thing have to be recorded for ARCHIVALS!?42q3w4e5rtof9ij
no, it wouldn't
Real forums have a "delete" button for your posts.Yes, and just like an "edit" button, they usually only work for like 20 minutes - 1 day after posting the original message.
For the rest, if people don't like this forum or any other forum (anymore), it's pretty easy to just hit the "log out" button, remove the cookies and just don't go there anymore. Problem solved and go one with ones life Makes life quite a bit easier
For the rest, I agree with BodyHammer:
Deletion is not going to happen.
Ofcourse I'm aware that this thread's aim most probably is a pre-calculated attempt at sabotage, but I still had a fun time reading it all.
As Vampier's and tfh's posts sum it all up, I may go ahead and put a lock on this little party when I return from doing slightly more important stuff.
Until that time, enjoy, kids.
MSX scene: where everything goes too far, any way it goes...
Or as someone else said in another topic: "storm in a glass of water"...
I'm totally missing the point here, why make over more then 1400 posts and then going to threaten the admins with all kinds of law related stuff ?!?!?!
LOCK IT!
@ people with questions or complaints: http://www.msx.org/contact.html or go whine at IRC
@ WORP3: to deliberately attempt to create a non-discussion in order to disrupt and spread FUD
@ OeiOeiVogeltje: done!
