Hello,
I've openMSX running in a Raspi, video output is HDMI and I get black screen if I use the rca output.
How can I set video output(if possible) for using composite video(rca)?
best regards
I understand,
but raspbian works fine with rca output, when I launch openmsx from raspbian I get black screen.
However if I use HDMI output, raspbian works fine also and when I launch openmsx it start ok.
Problem is I need rca output.
Any idea?
Yet, executing openmsx or openmsx -machine {machine} throws me on a black screen. I'm using a large monitor with a RCA composite.
I had the same problem when going throug apt-get install openmsx (0.8.2). Any idea on what's the problem?
I tried on HDMI, and it works.
Well, on composite, it doesn't. Go figure.
If OpenMSX was finally made to run on SDL2 OR GLES2, it would be very fast to boot into it and have smooth video updates on the Pi. Are there any plans to port to SDL2 or GLES2??
@vanfanel: what you say has nothing to do with booting openMSX directly at RaspPi startup.
@drfloyd: I don't know much about the RaspPi... are there other programs which can directly be started? Perhaps this requires a special bootable USB stick or something? This is beyond the scope of openMSX itself, so I suggest asking RaspPi experts.
