Hello All

I have a NMS 8250 on the way, but I'd like to upgrade to an 8280. The differences being AV board and fascia only (i.e. same motherboard). So if anyone has an 8280 with a dead motherboard, this would be ideal.

Thanks
Ray

Front panels of this machine broke easily I think. I still have buttons and sliders of course, and you can make or order a new front panel in nice and elegant wood or in cool modern methacrylate for example Smile

Are you sure upgrade is that easy? Maybe you can fix a faulty but complete 8280.

It would be nice if somebody could 3D print a new front panel...

I am thinking about converting a 8250 frontpanel to 8280 (the buttons and stuff is still in one piece) and then putting the 8250 in a PC case or even transparent plexiglass.

But as with most msx stuff it's mainly thinking Big smile

I had the same idea so I got all the pieces but without the case. But later I realized that my skills are hardly enough to change a disk drive with a lot of work. Build up again a working 8280 is far away of what I'm able to do Crying
