I normally see that Japanese versions of the Sony video titlers include the Sony MOS-1 mouse, have you ever seen them with MOS-2 version?. I have a couple of XV-T550 and both include MOS-2 mouses, as we know never sold with any MSX computer. Not sure, probably the first units were sold with MOS-1 and later with MOS-2.

My XV-J550 comes with a MOS-1. When I bought the XV-J770 and the XV-J777 only one of them (which one?) came with a mouse, but AFAIK this mouse was a MOS-1.

Sadly I can't confirm this now. My house is a bit chaotic in the last times (an year? two? who knows?) And I don't have any idea where some itens are.

I did search in the chaos and found a box with many MSX mice and they are one EGG Mouse, one from NEOS, two from Panasonic's Wapuros and only one from Sony (MOS-1).

I know that I have, at least, plus one from Panasonic (the one from VW-KT300) and another from Sony, when I find them I can answer if it's a MOS-2.

Thank you, just to confirm if MOS-2 mouse was sold only outside Japan. Manuel, some pictures of both Sony mouses, MOS-2 is a bit more ergonomic:

Ok! I found my last two MSX's mice. All mice from Sony that I have are MOS-1. And looking the XV-J777 pictures on internet and catalogs, the pictured mouse always looks like MOS-1.

Philips sold a licensed version of MOS-1, I’ve got two of those. I think they also produced the MOS-2? I recall seeing the design at least, although I don’t own one myself.

And another MSX2 Video Titler from Sony:

Sony Kanji Video Titler XV-J555

I still have two Video Titlers and other random stuff to show. Do you have any preference about the next post?

@Piter Punk,
Thank you for the great post! I was completely unaware of XV-J555 in such a form-factor.
Do you have anywhere a high res photos of mobo? I'm curios to see the chips in the proximity to the pots on the top side of PCB. Also I see the date code is 1990 on the chips. Is it the latest titler or there were some more modern MSX based models?

Yes, the XV-J555 is physically very different of the other titlers.

Which part of the board you want a better picture? The high resolution maybe isn't possible, but I can take a closer picture so you can look the ICs.

I still have another two Video Titlers to show, XV-T33F and XV-T55F. Both are newer and use some MSX components but I don't believe they are MSX based machines. I want to show those two last titlers to close this series of Video Titlers.

But I have some other machines that could be more interesting to see. Some of them needs to have their ROM dumped to confirm their MSX heritage.

Around the yellow pots (potentiometers), the top side of the PCB. Thank you

Maybe our friends from Argentina will have some news about hidden MSX...

I can't go to Buenos Aires to see what they will show, but I really want to know more about that new MSX.
