Not exactly the same situation, NMS8250 was based on PHC-25J but clearly Philips and Olympia have had a hand in the final machine. Both the Olympia and Philips machines don’t share the mainboard with the machines they are based on! These Yamaha’s are all made by Yamaha sold as Yamaha with the same model number. I guess time will tell.
Are ROM's for Yamaha CX-5MIIF (French model with AZERTY layout and RGB as the only video option) already dumped? Is there any remaining uncertainty about this hardware which could be resolved with ROM dumps, test programs, or photographs of the internals?
