So this is basically setting or resetting the bit 1 of VDP register #9? But does this setting survive a warm reboot?

Sofarun has this built in... unless there is an overwrite inside the cart software. But generally I can always play @ 60hz aka vdp(10)=0.

Alexey: it doesn’t, I think OPFXSD and SofaRun patch it into the ROM (and/or boot the game without reset), and the multicart menu can do it right before it starts the ROM.

Well, I made the requested change to the boot block. Here's the link to the unofficial version:

http://podrezov.com/carnivore2/Special/BOOTCMFC.BIN

The switching between 50 and 60 Hz is done with the 'F' key in the main menu. The setting is saved in the small EEPROM if it's present. Please test how it works on MSX2 and MSX1, thanks.

This feature will work with games that don't need a reset and also with emulated disk images. Our engineer will check what can be done to set the required frequency after reset.

Will this boot block remove my personalized color scheme if I were to use it? Also, where can I get this optional EEPROM that you speak of? I'd want it to be able to save my volume settings.

Yes, it will. That build with customized color was only for you. The optional EEPROM can be installed by 8bits4ever if you bought your cartridge from them. They can also update your cartridge's firmware. The costs will need to be agreed with them. Or if you are good with soldering iron, you can solder this small chip yourself. It's just an 8 pin SOIC - very easy.

In a VG-8020 MSX1 don't works, but the command VDP(10)=0 don't works neither in this MSX1 computer.
Don't works in a Zemmix Neo neither.

Thanks for testing. It's not supposed to work on any VDP below v9938. I just wanted to make sure that the change doesn't have any undesired effects on MSX1. I wonder why it doesn't work on Zemmix. Does it return a particular VDP id?

Thank you for the offer, unfortunately my cartridge already ordered and on the way here Wink

Maybe I can order another one with CMOS battery at a discounted price so I can save data into FMPAC Wink

Oh, I see! If you decide to buy another one contact us through email before ordering and we sort something out.
At the moment we are not shipping the cartridge with battery. We need to find a neat/safe way to add a battery/capacitor. We dont want the battery wobbling inside the case. Also it should be aesthetic.

The Zemmix Neo, is a MSX2+. I don't know if has a particular VDP id.
If the VDP(10)=0 is the Basic command for go to the 60 Hz mode, ¿What is the command for return to the 50Hz mode?
