The clearest speech samples I can think of are in the Pac Man clone "Oh Shit!" (also called "Oh No!" after censoring, and released in Japan as just "Shit").

Why do you think it was released in Japan as "Shit"? Sources?
Didn't Playball III have FM speech? Quite pleasant sounding compared to some horrible PSG samples in games, but really muffled. Probably synthesized.
Seed of Dragon (Turbo R) has samples, PCM I guess.
"Welcome to Valkair". @tfh: this.
More on Aleste 2: she also shouts something during the intermediate demo just before throwing lead towards pretty patched eyeball freak™ ;)

This, maybe?

The 'mysteries' in my initial question seem to have been solved, thanks to a kind commenter on my video. :)

Eggerland 2
ラウンドスタート
"Round Start"
I don't know about this one. It sounds awfully a lot like "Don't stop". I can't hear it as "Round Start", no matter what (also, Eggerland Mystery had rounds, the sequel did not).
That JP 'Shit' cover is rather retarded..

Heh, indeed. But I think it's bogus. I have the cassette with that cover and it's just the Eurosoft release of the game with shortened title and sample. Nothing Japanese about it. I don't think the game was ever released in Japan. Please come up with some evidence if you think otherwise :)
That might be the first and last game ever sold labeled as "Shit"? And it had to be on MSX
@ren I just listened to the area 4 speech in Aleste 2 and I think she's saying "よろしくじゃないよ" (yoroshiku janai yo), which is something in the spirit of "good riddance!" (yoroshiku is "nice to meet you", yoroshiku janai is "it was not nice to meet you").
