You're right, something must have gone wrong when we put it online.
Try this one: http://openmsx.org/temp/app-release.apk
This is working, but controls seem to be a bit off
Can you be more specific? How is it compared to the previous app?
The right buttons appear partially under the menu bar of the mobile so pressing them can give false hit with back or home
The latest builds can be found again here: http://openmsx.fixato.net/builds/android/
But I have to tell you: it will not last much longer. These builds are extremely fragile and something needs to happen to make them OK again. Either the SDL code from commandergenius needs to be isolated for use in openMSX, or openMSX has to move to SDL2. The latter is already planned, but it will break some features. Hopefully only temporarily, but probably for a long time, as they're not easy to fix: the "CHARACTER" keyboard mapping is one and the Android OSD-joypad is another. So, Your Mileage May Vary, as they say.
Of course you can always keep using older versions.
And as always: help is welcome. Join our IRC channel in the evenings of CET if you're interested.
Placement of the buttons and of the stick seems fine now
Navigation across the menu still has some problems when you try to change the machine type.
Pressing down is detected by the virtual stick as I can see the smaller spot moving to the place where my finger is, but the selector in menu does not move
I had similar issues. I kept trying and it would move eventually. No idea how to fix this though...
ARTRAG, what kind of device are you using exactly?
