Looks like a fun game to play, maybe once in a while a destroyer comes by throwing depth charges you need to dodge ?

I have never played an Atari game, just wanted to have some colour without solid blocks.
As for depth charges, yes, they will come.

Notes:
- timer does nothing, it will just wrap around when it expires
- use STOP to pause
- player 1 is controller by the cursor keys and SPACE
- player 2 is controlled by I, P and SHIFT
- eventhough the target machine is 16k MSX1 at this moment you will need a 32k machine
- colours on MSX2 seem nicer, you may want to try with that

The game will be freeware of course, I do plan to make a physical cartridge for myself (or anyone else interested). Any recommendations on who can make a cartridge for a reasonable sum are welcomed, as are comments or bug reports.

Well it is finished. This corona slowdown gave me time to finally work some more on it.
I did implement accelerating torpedoes. The download is available here

I actually submitted the game for MSXDEV 2020 since I noticed it is on :)

One thing troubles me. When I try to run the ROM file on an actual MSX1 hardware from MegaRAM cartridge using SofaRun it does not work. Better said it starts well but my code pages in incorrect page 3. Code is really simple. It detects slot for page 2 and pages in page 3 from the same slot. This approach works well in an emulator with ROM file selected. What is needed for a ROM file of 32Kb to work well with MegaRAM+SofaRun ? I mean what sort of page handling logic ?

I/H/K that you see on the entry screen are telling you to press these keys in order to see Instructions / Highscores / Credits
