One of this year’s early entries, Subcommander took us to war in the depths of the ocean.

This entry takes us in the opposite vertical direction, lifting us high above the water, to be in a dogfight against opponents with remarkably superior firepower than you possess.

I believe there is some bug. During my first match the number of lives suddenly became a blue square and I started playing with infinite lives. Wink

A minor gripe in v1.0.0: if I try to press diagonally towards the left/right-hand side of the screen, the plane doesn't move in the permitted direction. As in, I'm pressing up-left at the left edge of the screen, the plane stays put and does not move upwards. This doesn't appear to be an issue at the bottom of the screen.

Nice game! And game idea! However it would be more fun if the bullets are moving depending of the speed of your plane. (Like it does in space invaders) Still it is a funny and not so easy game!

Very good! The sole problem is the speed and number of your bullets
You should make them faster and make the plane able to cast at least 3 of them on the screen at time

Yeah that problem were already pointed out in the other thread. I'm working on it right now.

I had played on WebMSX via the file-hunter.com link but I don't know how to reproduce the bug.

v.1.2.0 already sent to MSX Dev Team:
- player able to shot 3 shots per time
- game now runs on 8kb machines, such as the Casio PV-7

- Fixed a bug which shows in some real machines, such as the Panasonic WSX.
- Removed support for 8kb machines, because was causing error on loading from some SD mappers. RAM at 0xC000 is the safest assumption.

Having up to 3 live shots at the same time is a game changer. I enjoy the game a lot more now.

Feedback from players is essential. For me, as developer, it would be far more interesting (and hard) to improve the background with islands, land, rivers, moutains, etc.

v.1.2.4

Finally found this bug. It happens when you die on your last life, just before the level ending. Then the number of lifes becomes 255, making the player effectivelly invencible, since there are less than 255 enemies/shots in the entire game (I suppose).

It could be addressed two ways:

- the wrong way: increase the time between the last enemy and the level end, so when the level finishes the explosion animation will be finished;

- the right way: ignore the level end when lifes = 0, then the explosion animation will run and when it's over the check for extra lifes code will redirect to game over.

I just fixed the bug using the second approch, is already available for download on github.
