Author Kirem enters the show with Tower Of Gold, an MSX1 adventure with 50 levels of strategic demon-slaying.

In this adventure you enter the Tower Of Gold and defeat any possible enemies blocking your path. Engaging the enemies, swings to a turn-based battle with typical attack, magic, and defend options. Use collected objects and spells to progress. During your journey you gain experience and are able to upgrade your skills and stats.

Mmm very nice concept and idea. It smells like a classic game, I feel like I've gone back to the early 80's and I'm playing again those first games with which I discovered my favourite hobby.

Love the sound effects, pure nostalgia.

The lack of debouncing on the keys on the selection screen is driving me mad!

I believe shalafi means the game doesn't count taps to the keys (button released, button pressed, button released), but one press can easily move the pointer two or three steps at a time in the ATK/MAG/OBJ/VIEW menu. (Debouncing is a word I've never heard before in this context, but maybe it's me.)

Yes, that's what I meant. Thanks for the detailed explanation!

As a side note, the term comes from electric switches that "bounce" after you click then, creating multiple clicks. It's used quite a lot on IoT.

That's right, after some time playing the keyboard response is not working fine, it's difficult to move only 1 option in menu without jumping by several of them.

I was expecting more out of the game at first, but it is rather addictive.
I can't imagine how long it would take to get all the way to level 50.

Thank you for your opinions, the game and long because I had the idea while playing diablo immortal. But it's not a Pay to win, just a Time to win.
For the problem of the joystick in the fight menu here is a "forum patch"Smile just for fun.

Ah, yeah, that's one simple way of debouncing :-)
Pity this fix couldn't make it into the submitted version, but maybe you want to submit an update anyway.
Are you using MSX-BASIC-KUN or is it not even compiled?
I love to see more games written in BASIC.

Not valid for judgement, but for future players, as soon as the contest finishes. Judy ping TFH to make sure they get the new one once the contest is finished
