What's up guys,

I been a fan of MSX for almost 11 years now Smile.. anyways today I decided to find my old MSX AX150, i found it, fixed the power cable because it was messed up.

But one thing I hate that I can't find all my cartridges, so I decided to look around for a way to load ROMS from my pc over to my real MSX.. Can you guys help ?

Can I connect a modern flopppy drive to my MSX ? or is there an easier way ?

P.S: I also found my Tape loader, good old days Tongue

Thanks in advance LOL!

And as for diskdrives 'n such: since a number of years already, the Compact Flash interface is in vogue.

I'm not mr.Hardwareguru here on the board -others are-, but I guess a modern PC drive doesn't work. Using a CF interface you can swap CF cards between PC and MSX, people generally advice to have a dedicated swap-card and a permanent card for storage on your MSX as Windows XP tends to ruin MSX CF cards now and then.

Note that the AX150 is an MSX1 computer with 64kB RAM.

How about MSX Taper?
If you still have the cassette cable, connect the earphone jack to your PC's speaker card and you can load old tapes and small roms to your MSX.

Any 3 1/2 PC drive WILL work. You just need a disk interface (there was *brand new* batch sold last year here in Brazil), and a PC floppy cable. Then you invert two wires on the cable - otherwise it will be recognized as B: instead of A: (you can see how to do that on MSXPró - www.msxpro.com) and it's working :)

For ROMs, you can run them using ExecROM or LoadROM (ExecROM compatibilty is higher, but you need a MegaRAM if you want to load MegaROMs with it, and a mapper when doing that with LoadROM)

Thanks for having remembered my app Big smile
And now that I have obtained the permission from Alexey Podrezov (the author of CasLink) I'm actually adapting his routines to support all the various kinds of MSX ROMS (8kb, 16kb and 32kb) into MSX Taper
