The MIDI-PAC is a cartridge with which you can playback MSX music on a MIDI instrument such as a synthesizer module. This is exactly what WORP3 did during the holidays. He picked a number of songs from MGSEL and popular MSX games, and used his MIDI-PAC to send their music to a Roland SC-55 or SC-88. The results are on his website for you to enjoy.

It has been some days ago that i've placed those demonstration songs on my webpage and looking at the download statistics there was a lot of interest in those songs Wink
The numbers of undeadline and dragonslayer has been downloaded the most but the big question remains, did you like them, where you impressed or did you manage to record even a better one yourself ?

Of course, I liked it Smile. I'm still experimenting with it, anyway it's nice to compare and see the differences between MIDI formats (XG, GM...)

Yeah, I told you on the fair and over e-mail, you should hear it on my XP-30. Wink
But unfortunately, I do not have the means right now to (properly) record it.

I used the same of XP30 but without the 1st voice that do not work properly with 1chipMSX and my Roland SC88ST Pro.

Volume of this voice is OFF for now. The problem is the assignment to the G-Default voice only. The original OPLL is a programmable voice.

Worp3, do you have read my bug report by email???

At some point of time it was actually MIDI that was running through the cables but I decided that recording the audio output of the synth module would be better ;)
