MSX-Datapack scanned

Topic: Development

The MSX-Datapack is the most complete official documentation about the MSX standard. Konamito and Dioniso scanned all the manuals and made it available. If you have good knowledge of the Japanese language you are invited to help out with the translation project. The previous scanned volume two file had many wrong pages. The fixed file is also made available now.

Hi! I just wanted to say that I scanned the three volumes (I have the original books, the three volumnes, plus the disks) and I have uploaded them. In this topic at Karoshi forum you can find the links to the books. The disks are here.

Ah! I thought that some of the code in MSX-DOS2 ROM was a bit weird, but now when I saw the original macros they used, it all makes perfect sense! Thank you for sharing!

There seems to be a problem with volume 2. I will fix it as soon as possible; which will take some weeks, sadly.

Thanks for your effort: it is an excellent work!
Please keep me/us informed when problems with cap.2 are solved.

I was also amazed to find the huge amount of documentation about MSX-View (cap.3)!

At the bottom of Hans Otten’s MSX hardware page.

Volumes 1 and 2 are also available on (a different scan).

Finally, a number of sections were translated, you can find them on the MSX Assembly Page.

Did Hans Otten scanned them himself? Just curiousity.
