Daniel Vik really is on a roll, at the moment. Not long after blueMSXX 1.4.0 was released, he and his team enjoy us with a new 1.4.1 version. As you can see, this is not just a minor bugfix. A lot of things have been improved. Here's a list:

  • Addition of horizontal and vertical stretch on all monitor modes
  • Implementation of a DirectDraw Hardware acceleration driver
  • Better sound mixer
  • Improved Moonsound emulation
  • Support of the MSX-AUDIO cartridges (including the switch of the Panasonic cartridge)
  • Improved SCC support
  • New default machine configs: MSX2 French and German
  • Support for smaller sound buffer sizes in performance
  • Support for di1, di2, mx1 and mx2 file types
  • Registration of file types in settings
  • Romdb.dat database added
  • Support for Kanji roms in cartridge slots
  • Support for Korean 90-in-1 rom
  • Support for PAC and Megaram in special submenu
  • Drag and drop of .sta files
  • Mouse and Joystick config saved in save state
  • Fixed mouse issues
  • Mouse as joystick when left button pressed at start
  • Changed "Joystick in Port 1" to "Port 1"
  • Possibility to disable Windows menu keys
  • Screensplit to screen 0 corrected
  • Updated Disk Patch to synchronize pending VDP commands
  • Updated sprite addressing
  • Fixed bug in set position for zipped cas files
  • Support for NT4 and Win95 added

Last but not least, the official blueMSX website has moved and now has its own dedicated URL.

**Update**
Since the release of blueMSX 1.4.1, the team has discovered a very minor bug and decided to release a new build 6322. If you were fast with downloading blueMSX 1.4.1, you might have an old build. We suggest to download the emulator once again.

Great progress once again. A lot has happened since the very first release, which was only released a short while ago... keep up the good job!
