On Google Code, Tim Brugman has started a project, porting the popular MSX emulator BlueMSX to the Nintendo Wii.

A working version is already available for those who know how to run homebrew software on the Wii, by downloading and copying the contents of this directory to the root of an SD card.

My 60Hz TV doesn't like the frequency, the screen is black and white (the menu) and black and white+rolling during a game.

Looks like the emulator switches frequency based on the emulated MSX, so try using a japanese MSX bios for 60Hz TV's

it's something more than just the refresh rate, I got spacemanbow to work (after naming the ROM image the same as the XML told me to name it) - since the game is 60hz I could view the screen. The emulator (and menu) still are in black/white which I believe is due to pal/ntsc differences.

It works very good with a few hickups.

I am now able to test on NTSC and it works great!

How did you switch between PAL and NTSC?

I fixed it in the latest build. The MSX is now forced to stay in 60Hz mode when your Wii is NTSC and the emulator never switches the video mode.
