Today, a new version of the unofficial openMSX Windows port was released. The previous version already scored very well in the emulator comparison, this version offers a few nice adjustments. Here's the changelog:

  • The sources of the official openMSX 0.2.1 were used.
  • Added autodetection of ROMs that depend on BASIC.
  • Deleted extra mode 'ROMBAS' at commandline option -cart*.
  • Omitted openmsx.tex.pdf, bin2c.exe and xmlxdump.exe.
  • Restructured files placement and names.
  • Mouse/joypad emulation: tested.
  • Started testing SDLGL renderer

Both the official Linux openMSX and the unofficial Windows port are still in alpha state which means they are intended mainly for developers. Everyone is free to download and test this emulator, but both versions do not excel in user-friendlyness.

I've (unsuccesfully, sofar) tried to port openmsx 0.2.1 to Mac OS X... If there are any OSX guru's here, I could use some help(still having problems with the SDL libraries), I'm really a *nix newbie Smile. BTW, I do wish to thank Quibus for helping me already, I've made progress thanks to him...

If you remove 'aco' MacOSX is very on-topic too Smile
