Damn! Still not done with my current non-MSX projects and this is already starting!!!! hahaha

Ok, time to go to the drawing board and start thinking of new game ideas! At least I can start day-dreaming of which game I'd like to make Smile

Let's see if there are more MSX2 games this year! I might still go for MSX1, but it'd be nice to see some new MSX2 games too Smile

I might have abandoned the current project of mine out of despair If I had not heard from you about this topic. I'm very looking forward to competition with you. Of course any other MSXer is welcomed. The more rivals make us much more excited, I believe. Thanks!

Great competition!

Small note: on the MSXdev site the deadline hasn't been changed to 2018, it still mentions 2017. Probably because of copy-paste...

Haha, Indeed, the more games, the better!!! Nice to see lots of people with intention to participate! Let the development begin! Big smile

What's it going to be this time!?! racing game? platformer? shooter? 3D? 2D? adventure? puzzle? So many options! Tongue

At Nijmegen, Grauw was showing a project that looked super cute and colourful, but I suppose that one will be quite large in scope (an RPG?) so he might mean something smaller.

@ ren: Just maybe. Smile

@ santiontanon: Exciting. Smile

@JohnHassink @zett No, that’s the project I was thinking about doing. The plan to keep the scope down is to make it just a short story with some quests and puzzles, and no battle mode. So something I can hopefully actually finish. Perhaps later I can use it as the basis for something larger, who knows. No promises though! Depends entirely on motivation Smile. But it would be really nice if I made it…

I'm glad the competition is starting again.

Personally I haven't done any coding for the last few months, therefore I have no plans to commit to anything in the near future.

Then again, the deadline is in 2019 so I might have time later this year...

It's good to see a new edition of the msxdev.
3D, random generated levels... I wonder what new techniques is Santi going to surprise us all with in this edition.
Good luck to all competitors!

That is a good news. Smile
Compared to last year..It is good that participation period is long.
I hope that various MSX programs will come out.

Don't worry too much guys because I am going to beat you both, even if you join forces!!!

Hahaha, I am just kidding, game development is not one of my skills after all. Just want to say that I look forward to seeing the ideas you come up with. Good luck!!!
