French MSX user msxlegend has created a remake of the Terminator 2 game intro. The Terminator 2 game was made by Ocean Ltd. and released on Atari and Amiga computers. The MSX2 demo from msxlegend is heavily inspired by the original intro and features a nice slideshow of Terminator 2 images and some Terminator movies. All of this can be enjoyed with the Terminator theme song, which was made by the Unicorn Corporation for one of their music demos. You can read how this demo was created (in French) on MSX Village.

Because of the movies, you need a harddisk (IDE, Compact Flash, SD, SCSI, BEER, etc) to run the demo. Further requirements are an MSX2 with 128kB RAM and 128kB VRAM and if you want music you need an MSX-MUSIC.

I tried it.. with no results in BlueMSX.
Video artifacts and then many basic errors:illegal function call in 160 while executing terminat.ldr, line 610 non exist while executing loader.bas.

Did you try it with a harddisk? I used openMSX and an emulated IDE harddisk, and that worked great!

Just checked with blueMSX, no any problem.

You need to add an AUTOEXEC.BAT file :

- on the MSX-DOS command line, type copy con autoexec.bat, then press on ENTER (RETURN)
- type basic loader.bas, then press on ENTER (RETURN)
- press at the same time on the CTRL and Z keys

This Demo load very often. So you need to have a hard disk. No floppy because it's too low and music freeze !!!
I only use a Real MSX2 computer to program my "intro". I haven't tested it on an emulator !!!

Thanks for watching Wink

Thanks guys, now it works!!
On turboR very high video speed with some syncro problems with the audio
On 2+ speed slow down on video and on audio, but they're better synchronized.

Now, what about the Whole game?
Cool

@msxlegend
to prevent music stutter, load the file in small pieces of 256 bytes.
