Wait, is MRC promoting illegal distributions of games? (there are disk/rom images included in this software...)

The net is full of them, and does anyone care.....

I for one don't have silly money to spend on overpriced second hand carts or disks and would not be using an MSX today if the above wasn't the case...

Being a little careful is probably wise, we wouldn’t want our beloved site to receive cease & desist letters. IMO it’s also nice to know that if I download something from msx.org, I can rest assured that it is legally ok.

However I also think there’s no need to be very strict about links. Around the MSX revival years msx.org became pretty strict about it, I’m glad that got toned down a bit again.

Good to be on the side of law but i doubt konami would sue us for some rom images or disks of games of more than 25 years old. There are ps3 pirated isos, xbox psp,and other stuff that are sold now that the companies are losing money from pirates,so i doubt a dsk image of kings valley would harm the nasdaq profits of konami lol....

Also the fact that Konami has killed several homebrew games or remakes inspired by their games, the most recent example is the Metal Gear remake (although authorized by Konami International in a first step, but finally killed by Konami Japan). Such extreme attitude can only have one answer : total indifference for all Konami products.
