Wii Nunchuck goes MSX

During the last week of 2011, Danjovic and a friend sucessfully made a Wii Nunchuck work on a MSX using a bitbanged I2C through the joystick port. Videos of that can be seen here and here.

Recently, he managed to adapt two MSX games to run using the Nunchuck controller. The games are Konami's Road Fighter and Ping Pong. The machine used is a Brazilian HOT BIT with a do-it-youtself Assembler cartridge. A Basic program loads the game and the nunchuck driver and then applies the patch. The driver can detect a Nunchuck in either joystick port and reverts to the standard port when no nunchuck answers.

I saw this on "Hackaday.com" a few weeks ago, and have it posted here.
Only pitpan responded.
Danjovic was so kindly to mail me the schematics and software.

When I first saw the Wii, I thought it would be extremely cool to use that controller for some MSX games, like the ones in the Konami Collection special.
