MSX in the Media: 8th nominee

After Sony Corporation a second big Japanese Company enters the MSX in the Media Challenge by mentioning MSX on their website: Yamaha. Yamaha played an important role in the history of MSX, developing the V9938 and V9958 VDPs, the MSX-Audio (Y8950) and the MSX-MUSIC (YM2413, OPLL). They also created multiple MSX computers, of which many were sold in Russia and Japan.

On the Yamaha Design website an interview with Toshio Iwai can be found in the 'Outside Yamaha' section. On the first page of this interview, Toshio talks about MSX and an image of the Yamaha YIS-503II is shown. The appearance of MSX on the Yamaha Design website was spotted by Takashi Kobayashi of Gigamix Online
