Less than a week ago IC released an entry to the MRC Bounce Challenge called Vector Scroll. At the time he already announced he would release another Bounce demo soon, which is available in our downloads database as of now: Revival. The demo shows a nice bouncing scroller, a logo, a wave and a coloured bars affect. All that is accompanied by a nice song for Moonsound.

In the MRC Bounce Challenge both experienced and novice MSX developers can show how fun (and easy) it can be to develop for MSX. By joining the competition you can win one or more prizes which we will soon announce. As we will also pick one or two winners randomly, there are more than enough reasons to join. Show the MSX community your skills! Entries to the bounce challenge can be sent to [email protected] and have to be sent before October 11th, 23:59 CET. This means you still have about a month left to complete your entries. Good luck!

Try running it on 50Hz, I think it only works on 50Hz...

Z80 mode, DOS1 doesn't help? (Probably an OPL4 is mandatory as well...)

Hmm... This must have been a bug in DiskManager 0.8, WinZIP plugin or something else, that corrupted some of the files.. (For example msx.org was fine, but autoexec.bas was not) I downloaded it on my home computer and tried it on real MSX and now it works just fine... Sorry about that...

It should be a good idea to release the new demos or games on a dsk image, in zipped format, with always an autoexec.bas or autoexec.bat

If the demo requires MSX-DOS1 or MSX-DOS2, then the only thing that the user should make is to add these (alas still) copyrighted files on the disk image (and to add the attribute A(rchive) if he uses DiskManager on WinXP)

The entire MRC downloads database will somewhere in the future offer DSK and LZH downloads of practically each file. Just a bit more patience though, it's a LOT of work to prepare all that Wink

I think it's quite a neat demo! Funny, when looking at the entries... 4 contestants, 7 demo's. Is everybody going to send in at least 2 entries? :)
