Only two days after we started the MRC Snowfall Challenge we received the first submission. Nyyrikki, the Finnish MSX user known for his Z80 emulator for Z80, KSS Player for MSX and his Brainfuck compiler for MSX created his entry to the Snowfall Challenge in BrainFuck, a strange programming language that consists out of only 8 commands. The source code and a compiler are included.

We already received quite some mails of people who have accepted our Snowfall Challenge and are looking forward for future submissions. Keep in mind, the contest closes at January 5th, 2004.

It's a quite nice little demo. I think I'll stick with assembly though. Wink

AMAZING! Brainfuck rules! By the way, would it be possible to create a "Brainfuck processor". I think that a 3-bit CPU could be cool to program a 128-bit console emulator...

I think, you could implement "BrainFuck processor" even with cogwheels. Memory might be a bit harder to implement mechanically as it is typicially 8bits wide. Don't anyway forget, that drum memory was actually implemented already 50 years ago. :-)
