From AuroraMSX we received the 7th entry to the Scene Music Remake Challenge #2: Omnifarious Steps. The original song is from DRMSX, a well-known chip-tune artist from Japan.

While looking for a 'victim' for his SMRC#2 entry, AuroraMSX landed on the website of DRMSX and was very impressed with DRMSX's PSG tunes. Especially Omnifarious Steps is a very catchy disco tune, and rather different from the omni-present MoonBlaster 'stereo' tunes circling the european MSX music scene. AuroraMSX wondered how this PSG tune would sound on his own equipment and started tracking...

The song was recreated in seq24, a MIDI sequencer for Linux, played back on a Korg Triton proX and Yamaha AN1x, recorded with Audacity through a Terratec Phase 24FW audio interface. The project files will be available on AuroraMSX's website shortly.

Happy listening!
